72/8ARCHITECTS: AN URBAN ARTISAN WORKSHOP

Established and led by Nghĩa Lê, 72/8architects is an architectural and interior design consultancy. We do not position ourselves as a factory for industrial blueprints. Instead, we operate as a lean, intensive design studio.

Here, the Architect is a versatile "artisan": thinking through sketches, feeling through physical models, and realizing visions through direct involvement at the construction site. We believe that soulful architecture must be nurtured by the dedication of a master builder.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

01. Architecture with Depth We don’t begin with flashy 3D renderings. Every project at 72/8 originates from raw emotions and hand sketches. We seek clients who are willing to slow down and "listen" to the story of the space.

02. Materiality & Craftsmanship Beauty lies in authenticity, not polish. We honor the raw honesty of brick, stone, exposed concrete, and indigenous materials. Every architectural detail is rigorously tested through physical mock-ups before being integrated into the project.

03. Physical Modeling Rather than being misled by digital illusions, we use physical models (cardboard, wood, clay...) as our primary thinking tool. This allows both the Architect and the Client to truly "touch" the scale and volume of their future home.

• Bespoke Architecture & Interiors We don't just design houses or commercial spaces; we create unique architectural entities. Each project is a dialogue between the context and the user's soul, where the boundary between inside and outside is blurred to invite spatial freedom.

• Emotive Spaces Inspired by the honesty of raw materials and the guidance of natural light. We focus on intentional "curious highlights," creating deep, quiet spaces that help inhabitants find a profound connection with themselves and their surroundings.

• Sketch-driven & Handcrafted Approach Our creative process begins with emotive hand drawings. We respect craftsmanship, delicate detailing, and the natural beauty of materials to create works that are not only aesthetic but also timeless.

• International Recognition Our projects—Tạ Coffee and Tam House—have been featured on Designboom, one of the world’s most influential magazines for architecture and design.

• Nationwide Footprint Based in Ho Chi Minh City, 72/8architects operates without geographical limits. Our portfolio spans from the South (Tạ Coffee, Minh House, Zizzle-eatery, Kén...) to Central Vietnam (Tam House, Bevilla, GroovHaus coffee, Fairyhouse in Hue) and the North (Gạch Bông Cafe in Hai Duong). This demonstrates our versatility and reputation in adapting to diverse cultural contexts and climates.

OPERATIONAL STATUS

72/8architects is a fully registered legal entity with a professional brand identity. The studio is in a dynamic growth phase, prepared for large-scale projects both domestically and internationally.
